Synopsis:
During the British Empire’s invasion of Zululand in 1879, a sparsely defended outpost called Rorke’s Drift came under attack from a much larger Zulu force. Zulu tells the story of the British defenders holding their own against impossible odds, led by Lieutenant John Chard (Stanley Baker) and Lieutenant Gonville Bromhead (Michael Caine, in his first major film role). The supporting cast is a who’s who of 60’s British character actors, including Jack Hawkins, Nigel Green, James Booth and Patrick Magee.
